A Homestudy Program You Can Do At Your Own Pace

  • Have you had it with our junk food society offering your kids sugary treats at every turn?
  • Are you frustrated that even though you want to feed your kids healthy food that it’s hard to make it really happen?
  • Does it drive you crazy that when you do make the extra effort to make a healthy meal no-one likes it?

  • you can raise kids who love healthy food!
  • you can make delicious and nutritious food that everyone will love!
  • you don’t have to be a victim of our junk food nation!
  • you don’t have to spend a zillion hours in the kitchen to make healthy happen in your family!

I’m Nina Manolson MA, CHHC, LMT, Family Wellness Expert and I am about to show you how to feed your kids well in a world that doesn’t. I’m going to help you make healthy happen in your family.

I’m a mom, just like you, who wants the very best for my kids. I’m completely passionate about raising kids who have healthy habits for life because I had terrible eating habits.

For much of my life I weighed 20 -30 pounds more than I am now. I was a chronic yo-yo dieter and sugar addict. I was forever at war with my food and my body.

Battling this war with my food and my body put me on a path of self-discovery and healing. Over time, I’ve completely changed my relationship with food and my body and in the process, became a Certified Health Coach with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology.

And then I had kids! I decided it would be different for them. I wanted to raise kids that loved healthy food. I wanted to raise kids that had healthy habits for life. But I was faced with a society that was offering my kids junk food at every turn, and I was busy!

I put all of my skills as a therapist, health coach and mom together and created a system that enables me to feed my kids well in a world that doesn’t. My kids love healthy food, they are not deprived of sweets and treats, and we have tools to cope with the sugar and processed foods that are offered to them at every turn. And, I’m not a slave to my kitchen.

Now, you may be thinking, “sure it works in Nina’s family, she’s a health coach,” but this system has been tested in other people’s homes.

Don’t just take my word for it!
I get emails all the time saying…

“Your healthy cookie recipe is fabulous and I have since exclusively made those cookies for my kids. They love them!”
– Kristen Scalabrine

“I gave my boys the healthy pasta you recommended, and not only did they eat it, they asked for more! Who knew?”
– Mara Gorden

“I feel empowered to take a stand for healthy eating in my house. I am inspired to move toward better health, and now I have tools to think outside the box and change our habits.”
– Maria Handrinos

It’s so true isn’t it? Our world just doesn’t feed our kids well.

Over ten billion dollars are being spent each year (in advertising alone) to get our children to eat junk food!

Kellogs spends 32.8 million dollars on marketing Cheez Its! And, that’s just one brand.

Our kids are constantly being offered junk food. At school, after-school activities, community events, the bank, and even sometimes at the doctor’s office – our kids are given candy, sugar-filled snack foods, and refined carbohydrate baked goods.

And even when we try to make health a priority
in our own home, we are still faced with…

After school activities scheduled right at dinner time! How the heck are you supposed to put on a healthy dinner when you’re driving to soccer or band practice?

Picky eaters – We have a whole generation of mac and cheese kids! What’s a conscientious parent supposed to do when their child just won’t eat it?

Our busy schedule! In this day and age, most parents are going at hyper-speed. How are we supposed to make a healthy meal appear in 15 minutes when everyone walks in the door hungry? It’s easier to pick up a pizza!

Peer pressure – When our society doesn’t support healthy eating and all our kids’ friends are eating Cheetos in their lunch, eating healthy food can feel like a hopeless cause, and we give up trying.

It feels like an uphill battle to make healthy eating really happen in our families.

But let me tell you why it’s so important not to give up hope.

Children who eat a healthy, whole foods diet are generally calmer and more focused.

Kids who eat healthy balanced meals do better at school.

Food preferences and eating habits are formed in childhood. Teaching kids healthy habits sets them up for a lifetime of health.

Childhood obesity is on the rise. The way our culture is feeding our children is not working and we need to equip our kids with tools that help them maintain a healthy weight.

Our children are facing more adult diseases at earlier ages. We need to learn how to strengthen our children’s bodies, instead of weakening them with highly processed foods.

Girls and boys are developing eating disorders at earlier ages. We need to create a healthy attitude around food and body in our families.

Family mealtime gives more than nutrition. Studies have shown that kids who grow up with family mealtime get into less ‘trouble’ as teenagers.

Okay, you get it. You know you want to feed your kids well,
but in the past, it’s been a struggle to make it really happen.
What are you supposed to do?

Here are 3 things that will help you make healthy happen in your family.

1. Join a community of people who want the same thing that you do.

2. Get practical tools that make it easy.

3. Get guidance from someone who walks the talk, and has made healthy eating
happen in their house.

This program gives you:

  • Support of a coach and like-minded community.
  • Tools to make it easy and doable in your busy life.
  • Guidance to get your whole family eating healthy food.

This program will shift you from wishing your kids ate healthier foods to having kids that
DO eat healthier foods.

You may be thinking, “sure, but Nina doesn’t know my kids.”

I may not know your specific kids, but I do know kids, and what makes them interested in
healthy food.

“She opened my eyes to new ways of approaching
food with my kids and the outside junk food world.”

Before taking Nina’s course, our family had already began our journey to healthier eating. I found the information Nina provided to be very valuable in supporting us on this path. She opened my eyes to new ways of approaching food with my kids, new ways to deal with the outside junk food world and excellent systems and strategies to make it easy to implement for a busy family.

The recipes she provides are easy to prepare and your family won’t even realize they are eating healthy because they are so good! After participating in the program there are many ideas that I will continue to implement into our daily lives. I am so thankful for the course and happy to have had the experience of working with Nina. I would highly recommend it no matter where you are on your path to a healthier lifestyle.

“I almost feel something magical happened through
Make Healthy Happen right from the very first call.”

Before Make Healthy Happen I was scared for my son’s health. He had stubborn ideas about what he would and would not eat. Very recently, at one point he was having 6 slices of vegemite toast for his daily meals, and although it was good bread, it wasn’t good enough. It sickened me and it scared me, and his weight was skyrocketing.

He wouldn’t discuss food and everything I suggested was met with the same answer, “my taste buds just aren’t ready for that yet!” The ‘yet’ gave me some hope, but I felt we were running out of time and would be dealing with other health issues before long.

I almost feel something magical happened through Make Healthy Happen, right from the very first call. My son’s attitude now is astounding. He is open minded now, experiments, and he is eating fruit! He’s suggesting combinations like celery, lettuce, and apple. He drinks almond milk in smoothies and loves the vanilla bean cake (even knowing beans are in it hasn’t put him off).

He now talks openly and confidently to others about food, chemicals, and preservatives, and asks questions about food and the ingredients. I couldn’t be happier.

  • The mindset shifts that need to happen, so that change can happen in your family
  • Specific techniques that are fun, and will get your kids on board
  • How to get your significant other on board
  • How to help your kids be adventurous eaters
  • How healthy and fast can work together
  • How to satisfy your childrens’ sweet tooth without rotting their teeth!
  • Meal by meal, how to make healthier choices
  • How to ease the kitchen stress of wondering what’s for dinner

  • How to create a healthy lunch box your kids will eat.
  • What you need to do first, to really make this work.
  • How to cope with candy holidays and well meaning relatives.
  • How to go out to dinner with your kids and still eat healthy food.
  • How to make all of it work when you are super busy.

We all want the very best for our kids, we’re all doing the very best we know how.

We schlep them to sports practice, dance and music classes, and more. We spend hours helping with homework. We do everything we can to make sure they are set up for a great future.

Part of that set up for a rosy future is health, of course. But we weren’t taught everything we need to know, to make healthy eating happen in our family. How are we supposed to pass it on to our kids? Often moms feel like they should know how to do it all, and do it themselves. I’m here to tell you, that paradigm just doesn’t work anymore. You’re too busy to figure it out all yourself.

Let me guide you to delicious and nutritious food your whole family will love. Really, as a mom, I know there’s a fulfilling feeling when you put a scrumptious and healthy meal on the table and everyone eats it. It’s the satisfaction of knowing you’ve really nourished your whole family.

“I know what to do, but it just doesn’t work for my kids – they’re really picky.”

The difference with “How to Make Healthy Happen in Your Family:
5 Weeks to Feeding Your Kids Well in a World that Doesn’t” is that:

We’re changing the family culture. We’re focusing on the whole family, not just your picky eater.

This approach is fun and totally non-judgmental. We won’t force, or blame, or shame, or guilt anyone.

It’s delicious! We’ll be making yummy food, no cardboard tasting healthy gruel here!

There’s no one diet: We’ll be working with the eating style that works for your family. Whether you’re vegetarians, pescatarians, meat eaters, vegans or all of the above, this program will work for you.

Life long results: We’re not going for the quick fix here. Extreme makeovers do not work for kids. We’re looking for a slow and steady shift that will last a lifetime.

Because I’m a therapist, a health coach, and a mom, you get all angles covered. You get:

  • the coach’s nitty-gritty how to’s
  • the psychological mindset that ensures success
  • and you get the practical mom approach that makes it real.

“I was able to begin the process of making healthier
meals for my family in a way that was manageable.”

Through Make Healthy Happen, I was able to begin the process of making healthier
meals for my family in a way that was manageable. Taking small steps and planning ahead seem to be the keys to getting on track. I was introduced to foods I had never heard of before, but – with Nina’s guidance – I have learned the importance of making healthy changes in my life and my family’s life. And so, the journey begins…

“I was able to get my husband on board,
without a fight (and that’s HUGE).”

Before Make Healthy Happen, my family ate healthy when at home, but I felt at a loss for how to navigate all the junk food that comes our way at parties, play dates, and school potlucks. I didn’t want my daughter eating sugar and processed foods, but I simple didn’t know what to do. I didn’t want to fight with my daughter, while at a friend’s house, about what she can and can’t eat. I didn’t know how to talk to my daughter or my husband about making a change.

Through Make Healthy Happen, I learned to talk to my daughter and our friends about the changes we’re making. I was able to get my husband on board, without a fight (and that’s HUGE). But most of all, Nina’s tools and approach taught me how to do all of this without it being a struggle. I now feel empowered to hold my ground about what we will eat, regardless of the situation. And I feel like a better mom for it.

I also have loads of delicious recipes that my family loves and new ideas for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and desserts. Nina did not hold anything back! If you are looking to make shifts in what you’re family is eating, I strongly recommend you sign-up for this program. Nina totally overdelivers and makes the content appropriate no matter where you are at on your journey. She is completely non-judgmental and a truly talented coach!

“I’m excited about how effective it’s been on my family.”

Before working with Nina in the Make Healthy Happen In Your Family Program, I would dread dinnertime, making school lunches and the afternoon snack challenge. Since taking the class, I feel like I have a plan in place to tackle each of those meal times.

I have already introduced new, healthier foods, I’ve created a buzz about the food (fuel) we put in our bodies and I’m excited about how effective it’s been on my family. We have been experimenting with alternative sweeteners and have cut out refined sugar, hydrogenated oils and white flour. This is huge step in the right direction for us.

Since completing the program, dinnertime is more fun. My son is now starting to make healthy choices. He is excited about trying new things and even asks if he can try something new.

I felt like I got a lot of individual attention and support throughout the entire process. I benefitted from hearing the other participants questions, roadblocks and successes. I also felt like I could relate to you as you’ve been there – a working Mother trying to please everyone while wearing so many hats. I’m not afraid of the challenge anymore and I’m confident that we will continue to grow healthier as a family. Thanks again, for providing me with SO many strategies, SO many fabulous recipes, SO much emotional support and an abundance of resources for my future use.
