I’m a mom, just like you, who wants the very best for my kids. I’m completely passionate about raising kids who have healthy habits for life because I had terrible eating habits.

For much of my life I weighed 20 -30 pounds more than I am now. I was a chronic yo-yo dieter and sugar addict. I was forever at war with my food and my body.

Battling this war with my food and my body put me on a path of self-discovery and healing. Over time, I’ve completely changed my relationship with food and my body and in the process, became a Certified Health Coach with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology.

And then I had kids! I decided it would be different for them. I wanted to raise kids that loved healthy food. I wanted to raise kids that had healthy habits for life. But I was faced with a society that was offering my kids junk food at every turn, and I was busy!

I put all of my skills as a therapist, health coach and mom together and created a system that enables me to feed my kids well in a world that doesn’t. My kids love healthy food, they are not deprived of sweets and treats, and we have tools to cope with the sugar and processed foods that are offered to them at every turn. And, I’m not a slave to my kitchen.

Our kids are constantly being offered junk food. At school, after-school activities, community events, the bank, and even sometimes at the doctor’s office – our kids are given candy, sugar-filled snack foods, and refined carbohydrate baked goods.

And even when we try to make health a priority
in our own home, we are still faced with…

After school activities scheduled right at dinner time! How the heck are you supposed to put on a healthy dinner when you’re driving to soccer or band practice?

Picky eaters – We have a whole generation of mac and cheese kids! What’s a conscientious parent supposed to do when their child just won’t eat it?

Our busy schedule! In this day and age, most parents are going at hyper-speed. How are we supposed to make a healthy meal appear in 15 minutes when everyone walks in the door hungry? It’s easier to pick up a pizza!

Peer pressure – When our society doesn’t support healthy eating and all our kids’ friends are eating Cheetos in their lunch, eating healthy food can feel like a hopeless cause, and we give up trying.

It feels like an uphill battle to make healthy eating really happen in our families.
